SENIORS - WHAT NEXT?

Here we are, seniors in our prime, and then, suddenly, we aren't! Now, what do we do? I have a resource just for seniors to help guide you through any questions you may have.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Nan Free, and I am a certified Senior Real Estate Specialist. I am right there with you—I AM A SENIOR. I believe this qualifies me, as well as all my training, to work with this specific group.
Studying all the requirements to learn as much as I could to advocate for seniors, I was amazed at how much I really didn't know. Every day, people over 50 were happy-go-lucky until something happened to them that would change their lives as they knew them. What do they do? Where do they go? Who do they turn to at this time in their lives?
I am sharing this website with you. It doesn't matter if you live in California or New York. The principles are the same, but the prices differ depending on where you live. So, if you live in a city like Los Angeles or New York City, you know it can be expensive to find the type of facility you may want and can afford. However, this website lists all states and cities and the costs associated with those places. It's pretty slick, if I do say so myself.
Since I live in the Los Angeles area, if I need to sell my home and move to an Assisted Living Facility or another care facility, the price would be very high. But if I am willing to move to, say, Oregon or Arizona, the prices there are considerably more reasonable. So you see, we do have choices.
Here is the website I mentioned, which has abundant information to assist seniors...

Don't worry...it is only for information! I promise, no one will sell you anything or hunt you down to sell you swampland in Florida! Hahaha! If you have questions or concerns, please contact me on this site.
Please share this information with your children. They are often the only ones who will advocate for you. Don't "spare them the details" or keep them in the dark. They need to know. You have heard the old joke, "No one gets out of this alive." Be prepared and help your children to help you.
And as a last note, I need to say this to you and every client, friend, or warm body around me. Please, please! If you don't have your property in a Trust, you must immediately implement that. It will save you and your loved ones a lot of grief in the long run for many reasons. I am also a certified Probate and Trust Specialist; believe me, you don't want your heirs to deal with probate. It can be ugly and costly, and your funds will go to the court and attorneys first, and your family will get whatever is left over. If you don't get anything from this page except "GET A TRUST," my job is complete!
If you live in Southern California and want to sell your property, I would love to meet with you and discuss your options, which are more than you may think. Maybe you want to stay in your home and retrofit it to your aging needs. I can help you with that, too.
Enjoy your life, play hard, be kind, and love yourself and others! Life is going so fast the older we get. It seems like trash day comes every other day rather than weekly now! Pretty scary sometimes, right?
I welcome you sending me a note letting me know if this site has helped or inspired you.
Thank you for joining me, and I hope you have found this useful.
